The cans are usually made of 3004 aluminum alloy. This kind of aluminum alloy contains about 1% of magnesium, and the rest is mainly composed of aluminum and a small amount of silicon, copper, manganese, etc. 3004 aluminum alloy has a certain degree of strength and corrosion resistance, and is suitable for packaging different types of beverages and food. In addition, different grades of aluminum alloys may be used for different parts of the can (e.g., lid, ring, body) to meet different performance requirements. For example, the can lid may be made of 5052 or 3104 aluminum sheet, and the pull ring may be made of 5182 aluminum sheet.
