The 3003 aluminum and 6061 aluminum can be seen as the most common used aluminum alloys in application industry. And the 3003 aluminum vs 6061 are also often consult by customers who do not known much about the aluminum alloys. 3003 and 6061 aluminum are all aluminium alloys, not pure aluminum, but there are big difference between them.

3003 aluminum alloy is a commonly used product in the aluminum-manganese alloy series. Better than having manganese alloy elements, this product has excellent anti-rust properties, also known as anti-rust aluminum alloy. The strength is about 10% higher than that of 1100 pure aluminum, and the formability, weldability and corrosion resistance are all good. Used for processing parts that require good formability, high corrosion resistance and good weldability, or require both these properties and higher strength than 1000 series aluminum, such as kitchen utensils, food and chemical product processing and storage devices, tanks and tanks for transporting liquid products, various pressure vessels and pipes processed with thin plates, general utensils, heat sinks, cosmetic panels, photocopier rollers and ship materials.

3003 aluminum vs 6061

The main alloying elements of 6061 aluminum alloy are magnesium and silicon, and form Mg2Si phase. If it contains a certain amount of manganese and chromium, it can neutralize the bad effect of iron; sometimes a small amount of copper or zinc is added to improve the strength of the alloy without significantly reducing its corrosion resistance; there is also a small amount of conductive materials copper, to offset the negative effects of titanium and iron on conductivity; zirconium or titanium can refine grains and control recrystallization structure; in order to improve machinability, lead and bismuth can be added. The solid solution of Mg2Si in aluminum makes the alloy have the function of artificial aging hardening. The main alloying elements in 6061 aluminum sheet alloy are magnesium and silicon, which have medium strength, good corrosion resistance, weldability, and good oxidation effect.

The above are the difference of 3003 aluminum vs 6061, I hope that will help you to understand there properties and application field well, and you can decide which aluminum alloy is more suitable for your requirement.
